4D3N Bromo, Ijen, Sukamade Tour from Surabaya/Malang

Day 1: Surabaya / Malang – Mount Bromo

• Pick-up from the airport, train station, or hotel in Surabaya or Malang
• Travel to the Mount Bromo area in approximately 3 hours
• Check in to a hotel in the Bromo area — Bromo Permai, Cafe Lava, Gubug Ndeso Homestay, SM Bromo Hotel, Cemara Indah Hotel, or Parama Hotel; standard room with breakfast, hot and cold shower
• Free program

Day 2: Mount Bromo Tour – Ijen Hotel

• At 3:00 AM, a 4WD Bromo jeep will pick you up from the hotel
• Drive up to the Penanjakan Peak parking area in approximately 1 hour — Penanjakan Peak, Kingkong Hill, and Love Hill are all great spots to catch the Mount Bromo sunrise
• After the sunrise, drive down to the Mount Bromo sea of sand parking area in approximately 30–45 minutes
• Walk across the sea of sand to the base of Mount Bromo and climb the stairs up to the crater rim
• Enjoy the view of Mount Bromo Crater
• Walk back down to the sea of sand and return to the jeep parking area
• Head back to the hotel in approximately 30 minutes, have breakfast, and check out by 10:00 AM
• Continue the journey to the Ijen area hotel in approximately 4.5 hours
• Check in to a hotel in the Ijen area — Ijen View Hotel, Dreamland Hotel, Baratha Hotel, Riverside Homestay, Berliant Homestay, or Palem Hotel; standard room with breakfast, hot and cold shower, air conditioning

Day 3: Ijen Blue Fire Tour – Sukamade Turtle Beach

• Check out and begin the Ijen Blue Fire tour at 00:30 AM; drive to Paltuding in approximately 1.5 hours with a packed breakfast
• Arrive at Paltuding at 2:00 AM for a short briefing by a local guide
• Hike to the Ijen summit in approximately 2 hours
• Enjoy the Ijen Blue Fire and photo session
• Wait for sunrise to photograph the stunning turquoise acid lake
• Descend back to Paltuding by 7:00 AM in approximately 1 hour
• At 9:00 AM, continue the journey to Jajag Village, the entry point to Sukamade, in approximately 2.5 hours
• Arrive at Jajag Village at around 11:30 AM and transfer to a Sukamade jeep for the final leg of the journey in approximately 3 hours
• Pass through cocoa, coconut, and coffee plantations with a brief stop to take in the scenery
• Arrive at Sukamade at approximately 4:00 PM
• Check in to Wisma Kebun Guesthouse — a basic government-owned guesthouse with breakfast and cold water bathroom (no hot shower)
• Free program
• At 7:00 PM, join a local ranger for a Sukamade Turtle Night Safari to look for green turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs
• Return to the guesthouse by 11:30 PM
• Rest

Day 4: Sukamade Baby Turtle Program – Jajag – Surabaya / Malang

• After breakfast, join a local ranger at the baby turtle hatchery
• Participate in the baby turtle release program into the ocean
• Return to the guesthouse by 9:00 AM
• Check out and transfer back to Jajag Village by Sukamade jeep
• Arrive back at Jajag Village at approximately 12:00–1:00 PM
• Drive back to Surabaya or Malang in approximately 7–8 hours, or to Ketapang Port in approximately 2 hours
• Tour ends
